if you are a Landlord looking to use a Letting Agent to manage your property, no doubt the Agent will ask you to sign a Service Agreement. This document should be transparent and clearly set out the Agents Services and Fees.

It should also explain what your responsibilities are as a Landlord.

We cannot stress enough the importance of reading the document before signing.

Check the small print! Check the fees! What do the fees include? Is there a tie in period? What notice are you required to give to end the service?

A good letting agent will have the answers to ALL your questions.

If in doubt – don’t sign
